I love this time of year. All the lights on the houses, the wonderful smells, the speaking and remembering Christ, the music on the radio... It is just beautiful! I had a few parties this weekend and a dance. Today at church we had are Christmas program. It was wonderful. Great music, great talks and lessons and food afterwards.
Work is so busy, but I love the hospital at Christmas. It is all decorated. People come by and sing for the Children. Last year I worked Christmas eve and it was so cute. I'm glad I can spend the holiday with my family, but that was a great experience.
This year we are going to Chris and Jared's house and I'm really excited. I hope that the weather cooperates. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas :)
A place to vent, relate my exciting life, and just talk alot! ;)

Thanks
At this time of year I hope we all take time to think about all we are blessed with. I know I don't think about it often enough or thank those who have blessed my life. Including thanking Him who has given me everything. Here is a short list of those things I have to be grateful for and those people I hope know how grateful I am for their blessing my life.
1. First and foremost I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who has given me everything.
2. My wonderful family including my mom who is a great friend as well as my mom. My dad who is the very best man I've ever known. My beautiful sister who is my best friend and a wonderful mother. My brother-in-law who treats my sister as the wonderful woman she is and a great father. My niece who is my little shadow and I love her for it. My four nephews who are each so individual and wonderful and I love them. My extended family who each have lifted me up and loved me all my life.
3. I have a job that I enjoy. Some days it is harder than others. But I am blessed to know my career is in high demand and that I make enough to keep me comfortable.
4. My friends all over who lift me up and have blessed me through out my life.
5. a place to live that is comfortable and is safe.
6. That my family will be together for the holidays.
7. Good food and the blessing it is to be able to have adequate.
8. and a vast amount of other miniscule yet great things that I get every day: books, the internet that keeps me connected with my friends and family, my cell phone, electricity, real mail, cute clothes, etc...
I really hope everyone takes time this time of year to remember all we are blessed with and to thank those around you who have blessed your lives

Forgot to update...
Well, the 2nd date was all there will be. But that is ok. Moving on. Other than that I've been trying to feel better and manage my new meds. Unfortunately I haven't been to work for quite some time but I have hope that I will be there this week.
I did get to go out last night, which was a lot of fun. I went to the Regional YSA activity which was a game night in which we played a bunch of game shows. Then a group of people went to Strikes to go bowling. There was a live band in there bar area and we ended up dancing instead of bowling. It was a good group of people and was a lot of fun.
Well, that is about all for now.

back home
so happy to have had such a great trip and to be back home. Although i was quite disappointed to come home to my messy room. I forgot that while I was in such a rush to leave that I left my room messy... Quite a disappointment after I left such a beautifully clean house in Texas.
My trip was really fun. Shopped alot. Went to San Antonio with my grandma for a couple of days. Saw the Alamo and went on a boat on the river walk. Went to a high school football game--which is apparantly really big in Texas. Saw my cousin sing at a concert at the University of Houston. Sorry this is just mostly facts...but I'm tired.
Last night I went with my cousin to get "fried pickles" very odd, but really good. I ate really well while i was there. Really good ribs and hamburgers...mmm mmm. makes me hungry just thinking on it.
I'm going to try and sleep. I'm super tired since I got up so early this morning and have been at the airport or flying. Need my beauty sleep for my date with Jason. Haven't been on a 2nd date in awhile, so this is looking promising ;) We shall see....

Texas
So, I'm in Texas now. The flight was long, but was alright. Got in a good conversation with the people next to me. My aunt and my grandma picked me up at the airport. Everything went smoothly. We then went to dinner with some more family. I found a ward close to my family's house. Everyone was really nice. It is good to know that the gospel is all over the world. My aunt is trying to convince me to move to Texas and the bishops wife was trying to hook me up with one of the few singles in the ward. Now I'm just relaxing before dinner. That is it for now.

Patrick is the best cousin that anyone could ask for in the entire world and I only hope to be as cool as he is!

the update :)
Well, for those who are following this blog,I'm sorry to keep you in suspense for so long... I've been working since my date and have had no time to report.
It was a lot of fun. Went to a spanish restaurant for "tapas" and to a little dessert bar downtown. Then we watched a movie at his place. Already have a second date planned, but since I'm leaving town tomorrow it wont be till I get back. Looking forward to it though.
So, one more night of work and then I'm out of here. So excited to get away for awhile. Heading to Texas to visit some family. Should be great fun. Will keep you updated on the trip and the guy. Later :)

life is good
I've been feeling good. Made it to work this last few days and life is just plain good! In less than 2 weeks I'm heading to Texas and I'm so happy. It will be great to have time to just get away. Can't say I've done a whole lot lately. Been pretty lazy...reading, watching some old classic Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn movies, and working here and there.
That's all for now. Sorry this is short. maybe some tall, dark and handsome guy will come along soon to talk about for next time. ;) until then

survived...
Well, I got through the presentation on food storage/72 hr kits tonight. I talked way too fast, knocked things off the table and skipped around too much. But I think the message got across that I wanted and people said it went well. I'm just grateful that part is over. I think this calling is to get me over my fear of public speaking. I don't remember being so freaked out in High school, but it is so scary for me now. I think I went too long without doing it.
I'm off work till Thursday night and am very happy about that. It will be nice to have a break. I don't have any thing planned for tomorrow and I plan to enjoy that. Wednesday will be busy with doctors appointment, staff meeting at work, and Prop 8 fireside. Nothing too exciting to report for the week. I did get to enjoy General Conference in between working and it was great! It is always a great experience to get to hear the words of prophets on the earth. We are so blessed!

time for a little change...
I was just surfing my friends blogs and saw that one of my friends had changed the template on their blog and decided it was time for a little change. This isn't my favorite, but haven't figured out how to get the super cool ones yet. This is pretty for now.
I haven't posted in awhile because not much is going on in my simple life. I've worked a decent amount, paid bills, visited with my folks, did some fun stuff here and there. But nothing too thrilling. Work is super busy right now. It fluctuates so much lately that I never know what i'll be coming into. Some times it is so slow we are just looking for things to do and then there are other nights where we are so slammed we barely even see each other. It seems that the kids that we admit keep getting sicker and it is truly sad.
I was recently called to be a part of the emergency preparedness committee and as such I've been working on getting our ward more informed and excited about all of that fun stuff. For someone who has no food storage, 72 hr kit, and really any experience in this area it is quite entertaining at times. Tomorrow I am scheduled to do an "Emergency Preparedness Kickoff" and some how I'm supposed to make this fun. Really I have no clue what I am doing. Trying to motivate single people in this area I think will be a challenge. I know I am not incredibly motivated to do any of this. Maybe this is my kick in the rear to get started on it myself. Wish me luck :)

In memory...
So, I just found out yesterday that my friend Amy Lantz passed away after fighting cancer all her life. All the years I had known Amy her cancer had been in remission and I had barely heard that it had come back. I've barely talked to her in years, but I did email her about a month ago to see how she was doing and got a reply. I wish I would have tried harder...It was great to get to go to her service yesterday and to see the amazing woman she became since we graduated from high school. Here are a few pictures of us...

answer after all this time...
Well, there maybe a reason for all my health problems over the years or maybe just something new...I just found out today I have something called Graves Disease. Which sounds awful. Its actually an auto-immune disease that attacks the thyroid making it larger and many of my health problems can be explained by this diagnosis. Not too thrilled though. No real answers yet, but nice to know. I'm going to an endocrinologist once the referral goes through.
On a different note. I got a new phone yesterday due to my stupidity of leaving my old one in airport bathroom. I had to pay an exorberant (my bad spelling of alot)amount of money since I'm not due for a new one for a year. but it is a great phone. It is the new Palm Centro. I love it. Although I'm just getting used to it.
Well I really need to get ready for work. later

I think I should stop visiting Utah...
Ugh... everytime I come to Utah I seem to get sick. It is so lame. I have some stupid stomach bug. But Chris had it yesterday and is already over it so I'm hopeful...But it's pretty lame to be sick right when I get here.
So far I've read a book, done a little shopping and talking with my sister alot. It's been fun to spend time with the kids. Dane keeps calling me "grandma" although I can get him to say my name now. Joelle is still being my shadow and being incredibly stubborn...Liam has been riding his bike pretty much the whole time I've been here. Max talks nonstop about everything and nothing all at the same time and it is adorable. and Lucus is pretty darn cute crawling all over.
That's about it. I'm tired and weak. but I'm sure I'll be good soon.

so over work...
I think I've worked too much the last few days. UGH, I'm so over it! I got cancelled and then got called back in so I was not too happy. OH well. I need the hours anyways. So, now I'm on my way to Utah. YEAH!! I'm tired and don't feel like getting in an airplane but then it will be great. I'll write more later.

Busy couple of days...
So, Joelle (my niece) came and stayed with me the last few days. She is now staying with grandma. I'm now poorer, pinker, and much more tired but I had a lot of fun!
Before her mom and dad left with the rest of the kids every one went swimming in the apartment pool. Then she went with me to FHE on monday because I had to present at our "career day." She was my little assistant and did a great job. She seemed really interested in what I do and what I like about my job. She was really shy and stuck really close to me but afterwards said she was glad we went and that she had a lot of fun. We stopped at "Big Spoon Yogurt" on the way home and Joelle got to try it out for the first time. Her yogurt looked disgusting, but she had fun staying up past her bed time and by the time she was in bed I was exhausted.
Tuesday We swam some more. Went to the store for some cookie ingredients. made the cookies. Watched a barbie princess movie a couple times that we got at the store monday. And ate food inbetween all of that.
Today Joelle really wanted to get her last fill of swimming. she was bummed about leaving because she really wanted to keep swimming every day. She was really good and let me sleep in till 930. She ate pop tarts for the second morning in a row. Then we went to the store to deposit a check and get Joelle some goggles. Then we swam for about an hour before going back to the apartment for some left over pizza and to watch "Mariposa" for the 4th time since we bought it. I think i can now recite that movie word for word :( ...Then we went back to the pool for another couple of hours before we had to come back to the apartment to pack Joelle's things because Grandma and Grandpa were on there way to pick her up.
I pretty much just laid around the house the rest of the day except to get some dinner from McDonalds. I'm so tired. I'm so not ready to be a mom. 2 1/2 days and I'm exhausted and she's easy!!!! My friend Kendall came over tonight to play Wii. He's been promising to come to one of my Wii parties for months now and he finally came and no one else showed. I felt kinda lame...Oh, well it was still fun. He tuned and played my guitar a bit too which is cool. Guess that's it for now. work the next 2 days. Lots of work in the near future so I can head to Utah here soonm :)

new purchase
So, I've been having some computer issues lately. My computer has been seriously slow for a long time. But this last week I haven't been able to check my email or even get to the website. My dad came over to try and fix it but couldn't find a virus or serious issue other than that it is old and needs more memory. So, after considering my options I decided to purchase a notebook computer.
I'm playing on it right now and it is beautiful!!! It is an HP with 3 GB with 320 or something or other....sounded impressive. and it is pretty...I really do like it. I need to still get my documents from my old computer transfered and i need to figure out what to do with the old one too.
Other than that it is just work and some social stuff. I'm currently watching Bones at my parents. I'm really looking forward to my sister and her family coming into town this weekend. Guess that's about it

memories....jumping on the bandwagon
This came from my big sis so I figured I better do it ;)
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog (if you want) and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll check your blog to see if you've copied this to play.

Feeling kinda lame :(
So, I missed church today cause I haven't been feeling well and couldn't get enough energy to get off the couch. I slept for like 5 hours after being up for only about 2 hours. UGH! But, my parents came over baring (prob spelled wrong) food. Which was much appreciated. I've already eaten more in the last hour than I did the rest of the day combined so that is good.
So the rest of my week I wasn't feeling well so when I didn't have plans I pretty much have been sleeping, lying down or reading. Been reading a lot actually. I just discovered a new author which is always exciting. Her name is Alison Croggen and it is the "Pellinor Series" So far there are three books the first of which being "The Naming." If you have read my sisters blog, I will steal her description as it is is "light fantasy." Really good though. I'm on the second book right now and am really engrossed.
Other than the reading I have made it into society occasionally. I went to the Music Circus with my mother to see "The Sound of Music" on Friday night. It was a lot of fun and I'm really glad I got to go. After that I went over the YSA dance for a few minutes to meet up with my friends and then head over to a friends house for some games. It was a good night. Then Saturday I slept in and then ended up at the mini family reunion up at the Baxter cabin. I got up there late since I thought it had been canceled, but it was great to see family I hadn't seen in awhile and to meet family I didn't know. I found out I am related (distantly) one of my old roommates (and friends) best friends. and we had a great time talking.
I promised I'd post pictures from the reunion...but it will have to wait till tomorrow. I'm not feeling great. but they will come soon. ttyl

Work, Work, Work :(
So, I had a long 8 days off work and did not want to go back to work this last weekend. It feels like that is all I've done lately. I worked all 4th of July weekend, and after one night off I'm back to work tonight for 2 nights. But, I get to go to a concert Wednesday and then on Friday I'm going to go see "The Sound of Music" at the music circus with my mom. I got the tickets for my mom as a mother's day present-so now we get to use them. YEAH!!!
Can't really report anything exciting. I've been reading and playing my Nintendo-DS alot between (and during) work hours. Work is slow right now which makes work tedious... But that means I'm getting better at my video games :)
That's about it...I'm really wanting the new book in the Twilight series to come out. I DESPERATELY need a new book! TTFN

house browsing
So, I've got time off work-which is great! I've been enjoying relaxing since I got off. I spent some time helping Aunt June get around and get some groceries yesterday. Then I ended up sleeping at my parents last night. Then today I ended up meeting with my realator to look at some houses. I'm taking my parents out tonight to look at a couple i like. Not sure I'll make any decisions yet, but it's a lot of fun. I'm getting pretty excited! So, I'm supposed to be saving...but what did I do today? I bought myself a Nintendo-DS. I'm super excited about it. I think it will be a great thing to keep me awake when I'm at work. That's about it I guess for now. I may go hang out with some friends tonight after I go look at houses with my parents.

so, again always too long since I last wrote. This last week has been a good one. I worked monday and Wednesday nights. Thus, I slept all day Tuesday. Then Thursday I got to go out to dinner and to see "Iron Man" with Lynette. It was great fun to see her again.
Friday I went to a movie night with some friends before the dance. I had a good night dancing and chillin' with my friends. I've got some great friends. Saturday I helped clean up the church in the morning. Then I got my car smogged and then took a nap. That evening I had a reception for my friends Victoria and Dustin. My friend Kendall from my ward went with me and then we went out to a Guitar Store and jammed a little bit. Then went to eat at Leatherbys. It was a fun evening. Got home a bit early so I then went to a party for a friend who is heading on his mission soon. It was fun, but I was pretty tired.
Today was a great Sunday although it was nervewracking since I had to speak. Apparently it went ok. I got quite a few compliments so it couldn't have gone too aweful. Guess that's it.

TOO MUCH DRAMA TO REPORT!!
Well, I can't say the last few weeks have been boring...Chris hasn't given up on the idea of us or at least he hadn't as of a few days ago.
He took me out for "closure" a few weeks after we broke up which ended up being this huge fancy dinner...Then a week or so ago he sent me this rediculous big bouquet of flowers with a three page note...Then when I got back from my trip in San Diego with my family and he was sitting outside my apartment. He was all dressed up, said he wanted to take me out, but I said no. Tried to leave to go upstairs and he followed me. Then as I'm trying to go inside he drops on one knee and pulls out a ring...
Goodness...after trying to convince him that I didn't want it. and trying to get him to go...which took a long time my dad finally called him and he left. That was after I got mad, yelled and slammed the door. I felt a bit bad about that last part.
Well, since then I've been working..and looking over my shoulder for Chris. I hope he's gotten the idea though. After tonight I have a few nights off, so hopefully it will be relaxing
Till next time

another week...still trying
Well, I never went on my lunch date due to some scheduling conflicts but we are tentatively rescheduled to go some time this week and have other plans to do stuff together this weekend. So as far as that goes all is good. I've been texting him quite a bit and talked on the phone for about an hour last night.
Work this week was pretty busy. I really love it, but I guess the sadness at work gets to me at times. I really love these kids and hate to see the struggle they and there families are going through. Most days it is fine, but I had a some times this week where it was hard. It's hard to not get attached to the kids we have right now....
Yesterday we packed up my grandma's house into the Pods that will be picked up and moved to Texas this week. It was alot of work, but we had a lot of help. I felt like I didn't help a whole lot since I was so tired having just gotten off work, but I tried.
After a bit of a nap and dinner with visiting family I did a little shopping and then over to watch a movie with my friend Melissa. We ended up doing facials and watching "Stomp the Yard." It was a pretty good night over all. Nice to have girls nights.
Well, this week looks like more work. Some more ward activities. Trying to work on my calling, and possibly a date or two in there. Should be a good week. Till next time...

trying to get social again...
So...I'm trying. I went to a fireside on Saturday which ended up being a really good fireside about how the world percieves us as members of the church. And tonight I went to FHE...got there really late after a soda mishap all over my car at the gas station and then the car wash taking forever due to some malfunctions and then getting lost on my way. but I made it for treats and socializing and in time for Derrick to through flour "accidently" on my butt.
After FHE I went to Chili's with Derrick and Colton (guys from the ward, obviously). Ate some chips and appetizers and talked for a good while. Derrick got my number and we are going to lunch as "friends" on Thursday. Not too horrible for my first week post break up...although I am texting Chris now which is weird and don't know how to take it...He started it and not sure if it's good for him or me for that matter. But we'll see. I'm doing well though. Got cancelled from work, had a good night, and enjoying my life.

Great weekend!!!
Well, I guess I should try and write on here more often than when I feel guilty because it has been to long :)
I did just have a fun weekend though after an awful week. My work suspended me for having too many sick days which I think is not only retarded, but also makes zero sense. I was pretty mad at the time and it made for a pretty lame week. But that night I went to Target and bought myself "Guitar Hero."
Since that purchase I've been glued to my TV and trying to improve my ROCKIN' skilz!! Well, I'm not all that great, but I'm getting better, and I beat the boss I've been trying to beat for a few days last night which was pretty fun. Chris said I would and I did, I guess I should listen to him more ;)
This weekend was pretty busy after the boring week...Wednesday was both Candee's birthday and Amber's wedding. We went out for Candee's birthday on Friday at Claim Jumpers with a group of our friends. Then we went to the church dance for a little while. It was really great to spend time with all of my friends I haven't seen in awhile. Then Saturday night was Amber and Devin's wedding reception. It was good to see her so happy and I could tell she was happy we had come. It was a bit of a drive, but Chris drove so it wasn't too bad. It was a nice quite reception...and I caught the bouquet which may have scared Chris a bit...the guys were all condoling him...LOL. Doubt it will get me a ring any faster :(

again it's been too long
Well, I guess life must be boring lately because I keep thinking to come on here and post but could never think of anything to say.
I went to Utah for my niece's baptism. It was good to see them, although I ended up getting the stomach flu and was pretty miserable much of the time.
It is nice to be back to work, although it was nice to have so many days off. I was getting used to sleeping at night again. I was getting spoiled :) But, I desperately need the pay, so I'll take the work over the sleep. Speaking of work...tonight is my last night officially being on the TCU staff. As of monday night I will start orienting up in the ICU. I'm pretty excited!! I'll miss some people downstairs, but it isn't like I'm going that far away.
I'm getting excited for my weekend off. It will be nice to have time to spend with the family for easter...I got this cute basketball easter basket for Chris that I'm excited to give him! And i bought some stuff to make sugar cookies on Sunday. Not too exciting, but should be fun. Well I guess that is it for now

I knocked out my boyfriend!!!
Ok...so it was on the Wii (boxing game), but pretty cool anyways. If I had played him again I would have probably lost because he started getting really good later, but I beat him fair and square! :)
Tonight was fun. We went to our friends house after Chris got out of practice and we ended up playing for like 4 hours on my Wii. We played Mario Party (which I also won) and then boxed for a long time. It was pretty entertaining to watch the guys duke it out, but even more entertaining to watch Chris get really into wanting to beat the computer. He got pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
After that I just picked up some Taco Bell and Chris watched me eat since he is now officially back on his diet. So, thats' about it. Del Campo has a game versus Loretto tomorrow and they lost to them the first time around so this is a big game. so that is about all I have planned for tomorrow. Well, It's time to go to sleep. Or at least to bed with maybe a little bit of reading of the book I really need to finish...night

My new coat!

So tonight I went out to dinner and shopping with Lynette. Which is always fun. We had dinner at "The Cheesecake factory" and then shopped at the mall. I was wanting a new coat so I looked at a few. There was a sale at Macy's on their coats. I totally fell in love with a coat!! Unfortunatly it was really expensive so I kept looking around but couldn't find another one I liked. I decided to make sure it rang up at the price it said on the tag. It ended up almost $100 cheaper than the tag said. It was still pricy, but I LOVE IT! So here is a really bad pictured of me in my new coat

Last night of a 4 day stretch!!! YEAH!!!
Just 5 more hours left of work tonight and then I get a few days off and I'm so happy about it. I'm dragging so bad it is rediculous. Really want to see my boyfriend and could really use some sleep and maybe some time to pick up my room.
I'm going out with my friend Lynette on tuesday which we've been trying to do for over a month now. Should be fun.
Guess I don't really have a whole lot to say since all I've been doing is working the last few days. Hopefully I'll have more going on the next few days...

Tired of work already...
So, it is my first night back on in awhile and i'm already wanting to be off. Unfortunately I'm on for the next three nights also so I guess I better get over it. At least I've had good company tonight and a good assignment. First night on is always a strugle...
Finally started trying to read the book for the book club. So far it is just ok, slow, but I think it will end up being a decent read.
Don't know what else to say right now. I'm tired. I've been incredibly emotional and cranky lately and feel bad for all those around me and especially for Chris. Hopefully i calm down soon and everything is cool. Well I guess that is just going to have to be all...

Time again to post something...Not sure what. :)
My sister is so diligent about writing on her blog I'm starting to feel guilty for not writing diligently...or even close. My excuse is I don't have as good of stuff to write about since I don't have 5 adorable children
Well, I was off work for a bit with a hurt back but I'm back and it feels good. It's still busy at the "Shrine" which I am grateful for (although I probably shouldn't be, but I need work!!!). I've been learning a lot and really enjoying floating up to the ICU. It is more emotional up there, but I really do enjoy the work up there.
Some of the girls at work and I are starting a book club which could be fun...We'll just have to see. Our first meeting is Feb 6th and I still haven't even bought the book. Better get on that...
Church was really good today. With my work schedule and with being sick lately I've missed alot of church so it was really great to go to all the meetings. The talks and lessons were really good too which was nice. Got called into the bishops office today to talk to all the bishopric....dun dun dun...but it was just to talk. They are looking to reorganize.
Yesterday was Chris's birthday. Unfortunatly he had to work and coach yesterday so he was exhausted and we had no time to really celebrate his birthday. His friends said they were going to do something and then were gone when we went to their house to celebrate. We ended up playing cards at another friends house and watching a movie. I just gave him ballons and a card and a USB connector that he needed. Nothing too exciting but his video camera was for his birthday too...
Well now I'm just at my parents waiting for dinner. Were having a little birthday dinner for Chris. just waiting for dinner to be ready and for Chris to show up. Thats it for now.. will try to do better
Nothing too exciting but his video camera was for his birthday too...

baby, It's cold outside!!!
Well, It is officially winter. I'm sitting at my parents house watching the news with all the storm information going on. It is so windy and rainy. Chris's lights are out and garage is flooding. Trees and signs are falling down every where. So, I'm just staying inside and avoiding the crazy roads...
Christmas was very nice. I worked Christmas eve...which was very busy. and then went to Chris's house for Christmas morning. Everyone was still asleep so I had to wake Chris up. It was nice to spend the morning with them though. His mom really liked the scrapbook I made for them for Christmas! Which feels nice.
After we left his parents we stopped by the Grimmsmans and the Hoffmans to wish them a merry christmas. Then we headed over to my parents house...
We decided before hand to exchange presents at my parents so I had already sent my presents that way. It was fun to see Chris open up his video camera and to finally get to play with it. I got a GPS from my parents which I'm really excited about and have already had a lot of fun using.
Other than Christmas life has been fairly routine. I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately and trying to get that figured out, but generally life is pretty good. Chris is still really busy with his job at Claim Jumpers and with coaching. We are both trying to work on getting healthy. Well, that's about it. Still watching the news. Pretty crazy outside. Will try to do better at posting...
