For my mother's sake...

So, my mom wanted me to write down how me and Chris met and other sappy things like that so she could put it together in a scrapbook. I thought that it would all be on my blog, but I realized that I was purposely vague when I first started dating Chris so that I wouldn't jinx anything. Now since this is over the internet I'm not sure how much to share, but here it is. The story of how me and Chris met...(warning you, it isn't all that romantic)

A long, long time ago (a little over a month that is) I was at a ball (YSA dance). I was somewhat enjoying myself, as much as you can when you came stag with another couple. It was about midway through the dance and we decided that we wanted some water. My companions got caught in a conversation in the foyer and so I proceded back into the dance by myself. As I prepared to enter the ballroom (otherwise known as a gym)I spotted a very nice looking young man. We smiled at each other and I continued on into the dance.

This particular young man related later that he spent most of the rest of the dance searching frantically for the fair maiden that had smiled at him at the doorway, but it was all in vain. For she was hidden in the mass of dancers.

Back to my account...The ball had ended and the masses were separating to their different endeavers. My companions Kirk and Candee were taking an exuberant amount of time to leave so I prepared to take my leave alone. I'll admit I was hoping that one of the young men that I had met that evening would ask me out or at least converse with me, but as they were otherwise engaged I left.

As I was making my way to my vehicle I noticed the handsome young man that had smiled at me earlier. As we were crossing paths he turned to me and said "Hey, I meant to speak with you earlier in there but could not find you"

Thus began a long conversation that carried on to my residence that evening. And as it is said, the rest is history.

Ok, I hope you enjoyed my cheesy telling of that story :)

REALLY HATE HEIGHTS

Ok, so my sister asked me today what was going on new and exciting in my life and I couldn't think of anything...sad but true. But that isn't to say my life isn't great right now, it's just predictable. I did think of something kinda fun that I did in the last few days.

So, Saturday night Chris took me out to Chipotle and to Scandia...Food was good of course and the company was even better. But the exciting, or entertaining is probably a better word, thing that happened was at Scandia.

I don't know how many are familiar with the Screamer at Scandia, but it is this ride that you strap yourself in and then spin around in a half enclosed cage up to about 80 ft high. Well anyone who knows me well knows that i HATE heights. I get all nervous and close my eyes really tight when ever I go anywhere remotely high (unless I feel REALLY safe). Well, the bad thing about a boyfriend is they can convince you to do just about anything. So, somehow I ended up strapped in this thing against my better judgement. OH MY HECK!!!! It was so freaky, and I did the whole thing with my eyes closed and clinging to Chris's hand. I"m NEVER Ever doing that or anything like it ever again. But I guess I can say I did something outside of my comfort zone this past week. ;)

I guess that's about it...I see Chris most days and that makes me happy... :) And I'm taking some silly classes at work right now which is getting me out of bed before noon most days.

I was going to post this with my last blog, but since I was running late I didn't have time. Better late then never, right?

Isn't this picture so cute. :) This was at the family dinner party and I think it is my favorite picture of the two of us right now...

so...I was looking on here and was noticing that no one had commented in awhile...but I also noticed I hadn't written in awhile ;) So here it is.

I'm officially 23 now. REALLY weird! but I guess I've got nothing to complain about, for my age I feel like I'm at a good place in my life. My birthday dinner with the family was really good. My mom made her usual wonderful meal. Both of my grandmas were able to be there as was my friend/roommate Candee, her boyfriend and my boyfriend Chris.

Chris also took me out for my birthday. We went to Johnny Carinos and to the Music Circus to see 1776. It was a great night. And he gave me a matching necklace/earring set.

Ok, I have to leave for work or I'll be late. Oh yeah, I met Chris's parent's for the first time last night. They are totally nice, and although I was totally nervous it was nice. ok really have to leave now
